Caregivers & families need support too
Caring for a loved one who is seriously ill can be incredibly challenging and overwhelming. Patients and families often tell us they wish they had reached out to us sooner for guidance and assistance. Resources for loved ones and caregivers
Resources for healthcare providers
The Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo research team was established to better understand – and educate – professionals and communities about the impact of hospice and palliative care. Our ongoing projects range from person-centered studies to programmatic studies, which both directly translate into measurable, quality of life improvements for our patients and their loved ones.
We offer community and clinical education on a host of topics related to:
- Grief and loss
- Advance care planning
- Sharing healthcare preferences
- Services to assist with the management of serious illness
Our team of specialists are available to speak at meetings and events. We are happy to share our expertise and experiences to help others within the community learn about how hospice and palliative care services can enhance the lives of seriously ill patients and their families. Please contact us to request a speaker.
