"If I could describe Hospice in one word,
it would be compassion."
My wife, Diana, was my soul mate. She was a loving mother to our three children, dear friend and confidant and dedicated athlete. When she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2008, we were devastated. Although the cancer had spread throughout her body, Diana never stopped living, not for one day. She lived her life for six years, spending every moment with those she loved most.
Diana’s goal was to live life until her final day and pass at home surrounded by her family. Hospice Buffalo made that possible for her. Having hospice services didn’t change the timetable negatively. In Diana’s case, it changed the timetable positively. It enhanced her life for four months, so she could live and do all the things she loved doing.
Hospice Buffalo needs your help so they can continue to provide their extraordinary care and specialized services. Please remember Hospice with a gift by December 31st. I hope you will join me and make your gift to this year’s campaign – together we can ensure Hospice care for all those in Erie County for years to come.
