Hospice is Here ~
Inpatient Care in a Home-like Setting
The Mary & Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Hospice Inpatient Unit
Our 22-bed Hospice Inpatient Unit on the Mitchell Campus in Cheektowaga, NY, provides a relaxing and unique home-like atmosphere for patients and families receiving hospice care. The extraordinary inpatient medical staff provides short-term care for hospice patients. Our excellent staff/patient ratio means our patients are given the best care possible by our skilled team of hospice and palliative care doctors. The unit is available for patients whose pain or symptoms cannot be managed at home and for patients approaching the end of their illness. Hospice patients can also be admitted to the unit for short-term respite care to give the patient’s caregivers a short break.
Our inpatient hospice unit features spacious private rooms, lounge areas, large family kitchen, and a non-denominational chapel, as well as an outdoor courtyard, patio with barbecue grill, and beautiful wooded grounds with memorial walkway.
