Here with Help – Receive Comfort and Care in Your Home
Hospice Home Care Services
The majority of our patients prefer to receive hospice and palliative care at home to maintain their independence and live their lives to the best of their ability. Symptoms are managed so that the patient can live a full life with the support of family and friends and the comforts of home.
What services does in-home Hospice care provide?
Hospice doctors and healthcare professionals provide medical services, palliative care services, social services. Hospice also provides home health aides, expressive therapists, pastoral and spiritual care, assistance with legal and other issues, and bereavement counseling. In addition, more than 1,000 volunteers contribute vital services, support and companionship to patients and families. Hospice care at home also provides prescription medications related to the patient's illness, and medical supplies and equipment.
Who provides care when Hospice staff is not here?
Hospice will make sure your family members are trained so they feel comfortable and confident caring for the patient between our in-home visits. Remember, Hospice is always here! When you are a Hospice patient, you're never more than a phone call away from help. A registered nurse is here 24 hours a day, 7-days-a-week to take your call. If there's a problem that can't be handled by phone, we'll arrange for a nurse or social worker to come to your home.
