PATRICK FLYNN APPOINTED

PRESIDENT OF THE HOSPICE FOUNDATION OF WNY*

Cheektowaga, NY Jan. 7, 2011 -Patrick T. Flynn, CFRE has been promoted to President of the Hospice Foundation of Western New York, Inc.  Prior to his appointment, Mr. Flynn served as vice president of the Hospice Foundation of WNY since 1995.

            "The Foundation enables The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care to fund new clinical program services and ensure the long term viability of the entire organization, "said Flint Besecker, CEO of The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, the parent company of the Hospice Foundation of WNY, Inc. "Patrick has done an outstanding job in raising vital funds and stewarding our investments to enhance our patient services and program goals."

"The Western New York community continues to be extraordinarily generous to Hospice and recognizes the important role that palliative care plays in our health care delivery system.             The Buffalo State graduate has been in development field for more than twenty-five years and received his Certification as a Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in 1998. His responsibilities include overseeing the activities of the Hospice Foundation and The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care's Marketing Department. He is a past recipient of Western New York's Fund Raiser of the Year from the WNY Chapter of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP), and has professional memberships in AFP, the Planned Giving Consortium of WNY; The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy; The National Council of Hospice & Palliative Care Professionals and The National Hospice Work Group. He is a member of Leadership Buffalo's Class of 1999.

            A resident of Kenmore, NY, Mr. Flynn resides with his wife, Mary Mullett-Flynn, a free lance journalist. The couple has three children, Maggie, Sean and Evan.
