IZZO APPOINTED CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Feb. 2, 2012, Cheektowaga, NY - The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care announces the appointment  of Louis A. Izzo to the position of executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Mr. Izzo joins the organization after many years as an active volunteer and supporter.

In his new role, Mr. Izzo will oversee The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care operations including all sites and affiliate companies. Most recently, Mr. Izzo was the president of the Residential Brokerage for Hunt Real Estate where he grew the brokerage to one of the largest residential real estate firms in the country. In addition to his extensive involvement with Hospice, Mr. Izzo was also the past chair of The Taste of Buffalo, a graduate of Leadership Buffalo, and the co-chair of the executive committee of St. Mary's Parish. He is a graduate of the State University College of New York at Buffalo. He is a graduate of the State University College of New York at Buffalo and resides with his wife, Jackie, and two children in Clarence.

The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care (CHPC) is one of the nation's largest hospice and palliative (comfort) care programs, serving more than 750 patients a day in homes, hospitals, nursing homes, the Mary and Ralph Wilson, Jr. Hospice Inpatient Unit and the Hospice House in Cheektowaga. Employing more than 600 professionals, along with the support of over 1,500 volunteers, the organization was recently awarded the prestigious Circle of Life Award™ for innovation and excellence in end of life and palliative care. CHPC is an affiliate of the Great Lakes Health Care System.
