The Gow School won the concert by being the top fundraising school at the 2nd Annual Kan Jam for Kids tournament held April 5th to benefit Essential Care for Children, a program of The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care.

"Cute is What We Aim For" is a four-piece power pop band, formed in 2005 in Buffalo, NY and is currently on Fueled by Ramen Records. They released their Billboard 200-charting debut album The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch in 2006.

Kan Jam is the popular slammin' jammin' disc' tossin' game played in area gym classes and recreational fields. The Kan Jam tournament attracted more than 10 high schools competing to raise funds for Essential Care for Children, the nationally-recognized pediatric home care program of The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care.

Essential Care for Children provides medical care, psychosocial and spiritual support to children diagnosed with a serious illness and their families. Kan Jam for Kids sponsors included Time Warner Cable, Kiss 98.5, Darien Lake, Kidzplay, Boulevard Mall, and Lamperelli Construction.
