Camp Blue Skies 2008
Camp Blue Skies is an overnight camp experience that offers activities and time with grief counselors to help kids make sense of their feelings about the death of a loved one. This year’s camp will take place September 20-21, 2008 at Cradle Beach Camp, 8038 Old Lakeshore Rd., Angola.
The camp welcomes children and teens, age 7 through 16, in Western New York who have experienced the death of a loved one three months to three years prior to the beginning of camp. There is a small registration fee to attend the camp. Transportation to and from Cradle Beach Camp, meals for both days, activity supplies and accommodations will be provided.
Camp Blue Skies offers indoor and outdoor activities and a memorial service so that bereaved children may connect with others who have had similar experiences.
Camp Blue Skies coincides with Life Transitions Center’s Storm Clouds & Rainbows, an 8-week support group for bereaved children ages 5-18.
