Hospice Buffalo Bereavement Services

The caring and support of Hospice Buffalo continues after the death of your loved one. The Hospice Buffalo Bereavement Program provides support, guidance, and education through a variety of programs. The families and loved ones of Hospice patients are eligible to receive services throughout the first 13 months of bereavement.

Individual Counseling

Hospice bereavement offers assessment, support, and guidance by professional counselors. A limited number of counseling sessions are available to our Hospice families without charge.

Quarterly Newsletter

Our new quarterly newsletter follows individuals throughout their grief journey. The newsletters are mailed together with articles containing information on their specific needs during their first year of grieving.

Bereavement Support Groups

Hospice support groups provide a safe place to grieve, feel validated and comforted by others who have experienced a loss through Hospice within the past year. Hospice Bereavement groups meet at three different locations for your convenience. There is no charge to attend these groups and is specific for anyone who has experienced a loss through Hospice.

Life Transitions Center

Meets the 1st Monday of each month at 10:30 am

Meets the 1st Thursday of each month at 2:30 pm

Meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm

Trinity United Methodist Church

711 Niagara Falls Blvd. Amherst, NY 14226 (Parking is behind the church on Marion Rd., which is between Ruth Dr. and Longmeadow Rd.

Meets 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 pm

**New Buffalo Location**

Hospice Buffalo and Gilda's Club WNY have partnered together to provide a new Hospice Bereavement support group located within the city of Buffalo.

Time of Remembrance

This service provides you an opportunity to join Hospice in remembering your loved ones. Please call Hospice Bereavement at (716) 601-3888 for dates. Invitations will be mailed to Hospice families who are receiving the Correspondence Mailing Program.
